Mr Mearza’s work has featured in the National Press as well as on television and he is regularly consulted for opinions on eye related matters and developments. He has been featured in the Daily Telegraph, the Daily Mail, the Evening Standard and the Sun newspapers as well as Men’s Health and Woman’s Own magazines.

An unusual case of a lady who went to Panama to have her eye colour changed with dramatic negative consequences was featured on television’s E4 channel. She sought help early and thankfully Mr Mearza was able to operate and her sight was restored. Her story also featured on the Tyra Banks show in the USA as well as Channel 5’s popular Botched up Bodies series raising awareness of this dangerous procedure.

Mr Mearza’s opinion and commentary on various eye conditions and techniques was sought for another E4 channel show. Procedures Mr Mearza was asked to comment on included eye jewellery and eye tattooing (not recommended!).

Mr Mearza provided commentary and video footage on a specially commissioned programme for the Discovery Channel. The case featured was that of a workman he treated who had managed to get a large splinter of wood in his eye whilst lifting carpet gripper rods. Mr Mearza and his team successfully removed the 8mm splinter from his eye following the trauma.

Some of his TV related work can be found on Mr Mearza’s YouTube channel which has over 240,000 views to date.
