You spoke and we listened! Some of our patients at Vision Correction London have fed back that it would be great if there was some way to remind them to take their eye drops following surgery and also to have the do’s and don’ts following surgery easily accessible… so we worked with our website developer and are super excited to announce that we have designed a bespoke App just for that!
Our team have designed the first edition of our App for our LASIK laser eye surgery, LASEK laser eye surgery, Cataract surgery and Refractive lens exchange treatments but we plan to add to this in the future to include the other procedures we offer including ICL surgery and corneal transplant surgery.
We worked with our developer to make sure that the app was configured to offer each patient the ability to input a daily start time for their drop schedule based on the time of day they usually wake up. We also wanted to make sure the notifications that were sent out stay in the app until you click them by way of acknowledging the drop to be taken and hopefully reducing the possibility of missing a drop!
Once details of the procedure and treatment date are entered as well as your preferred start time for drops in the morning, the App sends notifications at regular intervals to remind you to take the drops. There is also easy access to the Do’s and Don’ts after surgery so you can be assured of the best possible recovery.
We developed the app after listening to our patients’ feedback on how difficult it was to remember when to take their drops after their surgery. Most of our procedures require at least 3 if not 4 drops to be taken at various intervals during the day.
Our lead surgeon and founder Mr Ali Mearza had his own Laser eye surgery earlier this year and was able to experience first hand how challenging it can be to remember which drop needs to be taken when, and for how long!
After surgery, eye drops are so important to aid healing and make sure the eye(s) stay as comfortable as possible. Using drops correctly not only prevents problems such as infection developing but also ensures the recovery is as quick as possible allowing you to resume your normal activities within a short period of time.
We launched the App in September during our 10 year business anniversary celebrations and initial feedback from our patients has been great! We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of innovation and technology and we look forward to improving the App further in the future.
Feel free to try out the app and learn more about Vision Correction London. We would love to hear your experience of using the App and always appreciate feedback. Please send any comments to email@example.com and we will collate suggestions for future updates.
